Having studied English and History at the University of Freiburg, Sandra qualified as a grammar school teacher in Germany with a specialism in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL). Sandra then moved to the UK where she has held various teaching positions in FE, HE and on international foundation programmes. She currently works as a university teacher at the University of Liverpool and also teaches on an international foundation pathway programme. In February 2020, she completed her doctoral studies (EdD) at Newcastle University, with the topic of her thesis drawing on an interdisciplinary project concerned with CLIL professional development for pathway teachers.
