About the Conference
This conference is organised as part of the “Global Citizenship and Multilingual Competences (GCMC)” Erasmus+ project. It aims to bring together teachers, teacher educators, students, scholars, and researchers to present on and critically discuss topics that bridge global citizenship and multilingual competences in different subjects and languages.
Note: This conference will be held in an eco-friendly way, as a contribution to sustainable living,
in hopes of a positive impact on the environment.

Important Dates and Information
The main conference languages are English and German. The call for participation to attend the conference without presenting is open until end of March.
Participation is free of charge
Paper Presentations
- 20-minute presentations, followed by 10-minute discussions
- Submissions can have a theoretical, empirical, and/or practical focus
Poster Presentations
- Submissions can have a theoretical, empirical, and/or practical focus
Conference Schedule and Program
The conference is planned to begin on Friday, June 16 after 14:00, starting with a plenary discussion, parallel panels, and then the evening reception. The second day of the conference will take place on Saturday, June 17, from 9:00 to 18:00, including workshops, plenary, and parallel panels.

Travelling and public transportation
Make sure to check out the Austrian Federal Railway System (ÖBB) for your respective train connections and schedules. You can also have a look at Flixbus if you prefer travelling by bus. If you are travelling by plane, and landing either at the airport of Graz, or the one in Vienna, please make sure to check in advance the bus or train connections to the city of Graz.
The tickets for the city of Graz (zone 101) are available via the GrazMobil app where you can get tickets for public transport for the whole of Styria. Tickets are also available via the machines in the trams or at different stops around the city, like at the central train station, Hauptplatz or Jakominiplatz. You can purchase them with coins and card. Tickets are available in the online shop of Holding Graz Linien. Important: Please validate your pre-purchased tickets before your journey.
Venue and Accomodation in Graz
The conference will take place at the Institute of English Studies in Heinrichstraße 36, on the campus of the University of Graz.
Important: Accomodation must be taken care of individually by every participant. You can look for affordable options in the attached list provided. The city of Graz also offers plenty of Airbnb apartments as an additional option for your accomodation.
