Project meeting in Leeuwarden

Last week, our project partners at Fryske Academy hosted the fifth transnational project meeting in the beautiful city of Leeuwarden in Friesland, The Netherlands. We discussed the upcoming GCMC Conference, and worked on finalizing our research output, which we are looking forward to sharing with you soon!

During our first day in Leeuwarden, we visited the GCG Liudger secondary school in Burgum. We had the opportunity to attend a class where the teacher so masterfully integrated three languages in his teaching, Frisian, Dutch, and English. We talked to the students and teachers about the integration of multilingualism and GCE in class, and we had wonderful exchange of ideas and input.

We also visited the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in Leeuwarden, where we held the multiplier event with first year students of primary school teacher training. We talked about the GCMC materials and we received lots of positive feedback.
